Life is a beach
First settled in the late 1800’s by adventurers from Michigan looking to develop the area for tourism, Boynton Beach was home to the highly successful Boynton Hotel.
The area has produced numerous professional sports players such as Jeremy Cain, Charles Cornelius, Craig Erickson, Jayron Hosley, Vince Wilfork of the NFL, Ryan Klesko of the MLB, Otis Thorpe of the NBA and professional wrestler Titus O’Neil.
Boynton provides ample opportunities for fishing and diving. Spend a leisurely day fishing with one of the many fishing boat tours or go explore the rich reef and colorful sea life with Underwater Explorers or Starfish Enterprises.
If you want to experience Southern Florida like it was before all the development, check out Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, Mangrove Nature Park or Green Cay Nature Center and Wetlands. These destinations are little known treasures in the area and feature many boardwalk walkways where you can see a huge variety of birds and other wildlife like alligators and turtles. Rent a canoe and spend a peaceful and serene day drifting down the river or stay on land and go for long quiet walks that end at the water on a high set dock.
Boynton Inlet is open 24/7 and costs nothing. Here you can go for a picnic, go fishing or swimming. Watch as the numerous boats go in and out of the docks or watch the pelicans trying to steal the fishermen’s catches. If you’re lucky you may catch a glimpse of a manta ray swimming by. The relaxing experience here is part of what South Florida is all about.
To take in some of the local social scene, dine at the Sweetwater restaurant and grab some drinks at the Bar Louie Boynton Beach or Banana Boat lounge. As with most popular destinations such as this, finding parking may be an issue. Why not hire a limo from us? We’ll take care of the transportation to ensure you have a great time.
