Best Shopping In Boca
Boca Raton is a beautiful city just north of Miami and Fort Lauderdale in Florida and has a affluent and educated social community which has given rise to some of the best shopping experiences available in the region. Some of the prime spots to check out if you are in the area are Mizner Park, Town Center Mall and Pineapple Grove.
First Mizner Park, while not actually a “park” in the standard sense, is a famously landscaped outdoor shopping mall with plenty of plants, gazebos and benches in the midst of over 50 specialty shops and high-end restaurants. The area has been praised for being downtown development done right. The restaurants range from chains like “Ruby Tuesdays” to elegant ones like “Trulucks” and cater to all tastes from Italian to Mexican to Japanese. There is also an awesome multiplex theater nearby to keep up with concerts and other events. Parking on the busy weekends can be problematic and the valet parking can be pricey but there is always the option of leaving the car slightly further away and walking a few blocks. Of course, the fancy option is to take a limo and avoid the parking hassles.
For a less scenic but more varied shopping experience, be sure to visit the Town Center Mall which is anchored by 7 large department stores such as Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor, Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom and others. There are virtually hundreds of smaller shops and a huge food court. According to some, this mall is said to be one of the better of its kind in the United States. It is very clean and polished with an up-scale feeling that lifts your spirits as you leisurely stroll its halls. The food court features eating establishments not normally found in your run-of-the-mill mall. If malls are your thing, or even if they’re not, Town Center Mall is not to be missed!
Our final stop, Pineapple Grove, is not actually directly within Boca Raton, but just alongside, a short hop North in Delray Beach. Come stroll along Atlantic Avenue to find antiques, clothing and artist galleries and studios. While not having the same busy bustle as the other major shopping areas, this district offers a great artsy flair and more down-to-earth vibe. This can be a perfect Sunday outing consisting of strolling, shopping, people-watching and cultural enrichment. Stick around for the evening to catch the awe-inspiring sunset at the beach.
Come to Boca and see that it’s not just a place for retirees. We promise you will be amazed.
